Casey and I biked out to Whites Bay to spend the weekend camping and hiking.
5 days canoeing the beautiful Whanganui River. We camped along the way at remote DOC sites, stopped at the Bridge to Nowhere, and finished our trip with a wild attempt at crossing the river for a nice, cold beer.

To me camping and canoeing go together like Frodo and Sam, together you have a better adventure! Having a holiday coming up, I was excited to plan an overnight canoe trip with my husband for the 4th of July Weekend.
Since moving to Louisiana Casey & I have not been hiking much. We decided we needed to make time for outdoor activities and with the Holiday coming up we figured we could plan a mini adventure.
